Mumbai's Ravindra Natya Mandir, witnessed a distinctive musical event on 13th June 2013 - the felicitation of Bollywood's senior most musician Bahadur Nanji. He has been a great organ player and music arranger in yesteryear Bollywood music. Intriguingly, Nanji's prowess as a sketch artist was recognized way before the beginning of his music career and his handiwork is represented in the posters for veteran film maker Sohrab Modi.
Also felicitated Pandit Vasantrao Damle, son of Vishnupant Damle, the founder of Prabhat Film. He is the only living legend of India’s second talkie film Sant Tukaram.
As the evening grew many singers began to take centre stage, immersing themselves and the audience in the timeless magic of Kishore Kumar’s melodies from 1946 to 1964.
A special thanks to our supporters Treasure - The Jewellery Lounge, arzoo.com and Shemaroo.
The nostalgia filled gathering still continues to linger....
